Sports & Movie day

Yesterday we woke up early to get a shower. When all the people was ready we went to have breakfast, and later we went to the classes. At 10:15 we had a 20 minutes break so we can boy food in the machine. Then another time classes with another professor.

At lunch time we ate some pizza and we drunk some water, we went to the park and there we started the sports activities: dance mats & badminton or football.
We were very tired because we did a lot of sport , and we went to get a shower and then to have dinner .The professors gave us a surprise, they took one film and we saw it. The film was AVATAR, it was great and interesting but a little bit looong.

PD: it was raining all day and we didn’t take the umbrella so we had to run to the residence!!

Isle of Wight

On Wednesday we had classes like the other days, all the classes of the morning very tiring. We had lunch at 12:30; we chose to eat pizza with potatoes, or hamburgers, like always (the group leaders are always telling us to eat healthy, but we prefer to eat that). At 13:30 we went to the isle of Wight, there we could go shopping or relax. It was a beautiful place!

We came back at 17:15 and we went to have a shower. After dinner we did a language quiz: rabbits vs badgers, Alexey was playing for the rabbits and Albert for the badgers. They did it very well!! Then we watched some music videos.

Titanic night

Hiii Bloog!! Yesterday 13th of July we did classes during all the morning. In the afternoon we did sports, volley and basket. After a shower, writing the diaries and having dinner, we did the Titanic's project. In the Titanic project we wrote an article and, after that, we had to perform a scene of the film. The three best performances were when a they kissed with the music of "My heart will go on" in the background, a "mini-streptease" of the scene when Jack paints Rose and the teachers singing the song!!

PD: When we arrived home the group leaders obligate us to go to bed...

Uncovering secrets

Yesterday we watched two films; the first film we watched was called "Something, something, something Dark Side" of Family Guy. We laughted a lot! After the break we watched another film. We watched "The secret of the brothers Grimm" it was exciting, we enjoyed the film a lot.

At lunch, we ate healthy food. Then we went to the Titanic Museum and we had to make a quiz about the ship. We learnt a lot about the story of Titanic, even some secrets we didn't know! At night we went to a disco. The night club was called White House. We danced and the group liders danced too, but we went to the residence very early, at 10:30pm. We arrived 15min later because we went home through a long way and when we arrived we had to go to bed. So finally, we slept.

Relax in the morning, excitement in the evening!

Yesterday, we went to have breakfast and after we went shopping all the morning. After we went to have lunch and, in the afternoon we started to do a play. We prepared the play for Saturday night. At eighteen o'clock we went to have dinner and after we returned quickly to the residence to see the final of FIFA World's Cup, because Spain was a finalist!! All the match, we were worried about the result, and when Iniesta did the goal, everybody started to jump and to sing (some people cried too!!)

At the end, Spain WON and we started a party until eleven o'clock. We went to sleep very tired and excited: Spain is the new champion!!!!! Congratulations!!!

Trip to London

On Saturday, we did an excursion to London. We had to wake up earlier but it was worth to do it; we had a wonderful day: shiny and warm!
The bus left us in the London Eye and, from there, we started walking through the Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, the Houses of Parliament, St.James Park, Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square and Covent Garden, where we had some time to eat and relax before going back to the bus.

At 6pm we ate and, because we were tired of walking all day, we didn't have any activity so we could rest in the residence, chatting and writing the diaries.

Sports, Art & Drama

Hi!

Yesterday we did sport; we could choose beetween dancing and playing football. After we went to have a shower because we were too dirty. Then we had dinner, and after that we started an art and drama competition. We were divided in two teams: the rabbits, and the badgers. The first test was drawing very hard things in only 5 minutes (things like the Queen of England, the Big Ben or SpongeBob). The next test was a Drama competition: they gave us a hat or a helm, and we had to invent a short play. All the plays were shorter than 5 minutes, but it was very funny. The winners were the badgers, thanks to Maria's drawing of Buckingham Palace, it was very nice!

We would like to explain more things, but we have to go to the class now. Goodbye!!!

Beaulieu was great, Spain was AWESOME!!

After lunch we got on the bus and we went to Beaulieu. We saw a lot of interesting things like cars, motorbikes and a mini-museum of James Bond, the super-secret 007 spy, and there’s a boutique of souvenirs , too. We stayed there for 3 hours.

In the bus we sang some Spanish songs, it was very funny. We promise we will do an effort to sing them in English next time!
The bus stopped at the dining room where we had dinner. At the residence, we prepared our selves, for the semi-final football match: Germany vs. Spain!!!!
We had got a lot of Spanish t-shirts and flags, we were very nervous. Around the minute 67 we began to shout because Carles Puyol scored a goal with the head. We were very very happy because Spain won the match!!!! We’re willing to watch the final match between Spain and Holland, this Sunday.

This day was much more different and interesting than the others.
Today, Thursday 8th we went to had breakfast, and then we went to our classes and we learned some more vocabulary, we had a little break and lessons again. And now we go to have lunch because we are very hungry...

Gossiping within the group

Yesterday morning, we woke up and went to have breakfast to uni, “Don’t be late! We want everybody ready at 7:30am!” the group leaders said the night before; and, again, they were ready on-time. We have to congratulate them, their behaviour is magnificent! And so the director thinks because he gave us a pack of chocolates as a prize. They even eat healthy! We want to make a special mention to Albert, who took fish for lunch instead of pizza without any “recommendation” of neither Elvira nor Alex, well-done!!

And from now on, the ones who will let you know how they are doing will be the kids, not the group leaders anymore; we just wish that everything continues as good as it has been until now.

M&M's: Museum & Movie day

Now is the turn for Tuesday. We did lectures in the morning (“Is this going to be a routine??” somebody complained. “Yes, lessons in the mornings during the week so you learn some English and activities during the afternoon and weekends. It’s a good deal!” The group leaders answered) and after having lunch we went for a walk through the city centre and we spent some time in the Art Gallery of Southampton as well. At 6pm, we came back for dinner, as always, and we relaxed ourselves watching a couple of movies: Wallace & Gromit and Kung Fu Panda. It was quite funny.

Welcome to Southampton

On Monday morning, really early in the morning, before 7am, we woke up and, surprisingly, everybody was ready on-time because this was the real starting point of the course. After a complete breakfast (there are maaaaaany many things to choose, from cereals with milk to eggs with bacon), we listened the welcome speech and we did a level exam to assign each one into different groups. There, we met our new colleagues: some are French, some are Italian and some are Spanish, we are sure it's going to be funny!!
After having lunch we started the lessons where we had time to practice the language and start writing the diary. We won’t tell so many things about what we do in the lessons because there something funnier to talk about: the DISCO!! it was great! Most of us danced all the time and in the end we were soooooooo exhausted that we felt asleep when we touch the bed. It had been a busy but good day.

First News!!

Hello everybody, we are finally connected to the World and we are pleased to present you the News from Southampton!!!

First of all, the group leaders of the group, Elvira & Alex, want to apologize for the delay in updating the blog. We had some problems with the internet connection but now everything is fine. So, without more delays, we will now summarise all what we have done until today, let’s start!!

The first day, in fact, it was the first night, we only had time for a pack-lunch and taking the pyjamas out of the luggage and go quickly to bed, after assigning the bedrooms of course!
During the quiet flight and the bus trip we had time to start knowing each other, perhaps it was still too early to say it, but our first impression was that we will have great fun all together!! =)
We arrived at the residence after midnight. There, Mr. Russell, the director, was waiting for us and gave us the very first instructions in order to have everything under control. After a few minutes, we were all sleeping, recovering energies for the next day... Who will be the other students? Which nationalities? How will the lessons be? And the teachers? We had to wait until the next day... excitement was floating in the air!!!
